Kent / Blue Seal Field & Farm Textured Goat Feed offers an economical way to provide goats with a high-protein and high-energy diet. This fortified feed is made with crimped oats, flaked and cracked corn, and pellets wrapped in sweet molasses for a highly palatable meal. It is specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of young growing kids, yearling replacements, inactive bucks, and dry, pregnant and lactating does, making it an ideal choice for backyard goats. Plus, its fixed-component formula ensures consistency and promotes good digestive health and function for your goats.

Field & Farm Goat Feed is designed specifically to be fed to goats in accordance with the following suggested feeding program: When roughages are mixed hay, mostly grass or average pasture, Field & Farm Goat Feed is excellent for: Goat Class Age Feeding Rate Kids 3 wks-6 mos of age Feed free choice Doe – – Dry, pregnant Mature 0.25-0.5 lb/hd/day Lactating, 11-13 lbs milk/day Mature 6.0-7.0 lbs/hd/day Lactating, 8-10 lbs milk/day Mature 3.5-4.5 lbs/hd/day Lactating, 4-6 lbs milk/day Mature 2.0-2.5 lbs/hd/day Comments: Each pound of this feed has been supplemented with 70 IU of Vitamin E. The suggested feeding program above is intended solely as a guide. The variables of management, environment and breed may dictate changes in the animal’s dietary requirements.

Transition Instructions

We recommend in most cases, you slowly transition your animal when changing to a Kent/Blue Seal product or even between Kent/Blue Seal products. This allows the animal’s digestive tract to properly adjust to the feed. To help with the transition, we recommend slowly mixing the new Kent/Blue Seal product in with your current feed and then gradually increase over the course of one week to 100% of the new Kent/Blue Seal product.
