This over-the-counter non prescription treatment can be used in animals as well as humans. Pyrantel Pamoate for dogs is often used where a large number of animals spend time together such as in dog kennels or feline catteries. This helps keep parasite levels at bay. Pyrantel Pamoate suspension is useful for at home treatment whether the patient has two or four legs. However, if pinworms are still present after treatment then a physician or veterinarian should be consulted.
